Ed. Züblin AG of Stuttgart has been chosen as general contractor by Carlsberg Supply Company Deutschland GmbH to build its new Holsten Brewery in Hamburg. As the German market leader in building construction and civil engineering announced today, the corresponding contracts have already been signed. Construction will start already at the beginning of October, with completion scheduled for the spring of 2019.

With the new construction, Holsten Brewery will move its production facilities from Hamburg-Altona to the Heykenaukamp commercial and industrial centre in Hamburg-Harburg. There, on an approx. 66,000 m² plot of land, a complex is being built with a gross floor area of around 28,100 m² for the brewery and production facilities, offices and social areas as well as the filling and packaging facilities. The ZÜBLIN contract also includes the construction of about 28,700 m² of traffic surfaces, walkways and parking.
