Berlin-Adlershof: Cornerstone to be laid for Allianz Campus Berlin

  • principal of the office complex with 60,000 square metre is CORPUS SIREO
  • construction work is expected to be completed by spring 2019
  • Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart is general contractor

On 22th of September 2016, the cornerstone will be laid today for the Allianz Campus Berlin in Adlershof.

The principal of the office complex with 60,000 square metres of lettable space is CORPUS SIREO Adlershof Projektentwicklung GmbH & Co. KG, based in Cologne. The tenant is Allianz Deutschland, which will leave its current Berlin location in the Treptowers.

The design and project development were prepared jointly by the principal CORPUS SIREO, the German Real Estate arm of Swiss Life Asset Managers, and the Heidelberg-based company FOM Real Estate in a joint venture. FOM Real Estate GmbH is responsible for turnkey completion as the general contractor with subcontractors and is implementing the project in a partnering process with the general contractor Ed. Züblin AG, Stuttgart.

Allianz business premises to remain in Berlin on long-term basis

The construction work is expected to be completed by spring 2019 and the Berlin employees of Allianz can then move into the new premises. The company will remain as a tenant at the new location for at least 15 years. The decision to rent the new building, which will feature employee-friendly facilities and a flexibly designed office concept, also reflects Allianz’s commitment to keeping its business premises at its founding location in Berlin on a long-term basis.

Three buildings with a flexible office concept and DGNB Platinum certification

The office complex with 60,000 square metres of lettable space is located on a plot measuring 27,000 square metres at the entrance to the science and media town of Berlin-Adlershof between Rudower Chaussee and Hans-Schmidt-Strasse. The new building featuring a flexible, employee-friendly office concept and modern technology will consist of three buildings connected by two pedestrian bridges across Merlitzstrasse. Members of the public can access the commercial space via the arcades on Rudower Chaussee.

Each building has five storeys. Green areas will be created in the courtyards around the buildings. The building services equipment will be located on the basement level and on the roof. In addition, a car park is also being constructed.

The building complex is expected to receive the highest possible certification by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB), “DGNB Platinum”. An environmentally friendly and highly sustainable building is thus being developed.
