Image   •   Aug 24, 2020 12:22 CEST

On the roof of the Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences: reinforcement of a hyperbolic shell (2006) TORKRET became the first company in the world to employ textile-reinforced shotcrete technology for the reinforcement of a shell structure at the Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences. The hyperbolic paraboloid roof of the university’s large lecture hall spans 38 m x 39 m. The thin shell is merely 8 cm thick at the centre. Serious deformations had occurred at the cantilevered high points between the columns.
